Working on behalf of the appointed architect, Artisan Environmental were tasked to design and implement a survey specification for a series of estate buildings planned for refurbishment and demolition respectively. The specification was to include work on numerous building types, including a large stately house, estate accommodations, farm buildings and office areas.

Artisan Environmental designed an appropriate survey strategy for each building in accordance with the proposed scope of work and current HSE Guidance. Many of the buildings held Grade II listed status and required detailed planning to ensure intrusive survey work could be carried out in accordance with the conservation officers’ and client’s requirements.  The survey team worked closely with the estate facilities and building teams daily to ensure the survey work was carried out as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Results were communicated to the client both in writing and on-site presentations. The survey work provided all information required to develop a comprehensive asbestos removal program prior to the commencement of work.

Artisan Environmental also assisted in the development of a Legionella risk assessment and associated water sampling.
