We were selected to undertake the annual re-inspections for numerous NHS properties in the Essex/Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire areas in 2019. The aim was to re-assess the asbestos containing materials (ACMs) that have previously been found during management asbestos surveys conducted on the properties. This is a legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regulations, 2012.
Re-assessing ACMs in a live medical building can often be challenging. Waiting for doctors rooms to become vacant during a busy day can be tricky with a large amount of re-assessment to conduct at the same time.
Nevertheless we managed to successfully reinspect all ACMs and produce fully compliant re-inspection reports, redrawing schematic floor-plans to reflect building changes and adding new ones where previous reports omitted them. We became the point of call for any advice that the client needed regarding the management of the ACMs in these buildings and were happy to see the recommendations we put in place carried out.
